Onboarding Consent to Process Customer Private Information
The enactment of the General Data Privacy Regulations in the EU has resulted in South Africa introducing its own privacy laws, the Protection of Personal Information Act.
The purpose of this legislation is to ensure that businesses and individuals are protected from the unlawful processing of personal information where consent has not been given.
We, at Ideal Toy affirm that we will process your information in a secure and confidential environment as part of our continued responsibility to our customers.
By signing this agreement, you authorised and consent to Ideal Toy) sharing and exchanging information it may collect, hold, organise, store, use and administer personal information of the Company for the purposes of fulfilling its functions, enforcing Agreements and for purposes related to the provision of services, advice and functions as expected of Ideal Toy including Standard Trading Conditions signed by the Company.
The Personal Information may be used for the administration and fulfilment of functions by Ideal Toy and the Company further accepts that this may involve the information being sent to a country outside the Republic of South Africa in which the Company may or may not provide services.
The purpose of the Private Information includes, but is not limited to, verification of the Company’s details, credit checks where credit facilities are requested and by operation of law, to fulfil the ordinary functions provided and fulfilled by Ideal Toy or for fulfilment of any functions required of or to be undertaken by Ideal Toy.
The Company acknowledges that the collection, processing and transfer of the Information are important to ensure that Ideal Toy may fulfil its functions, comply with its obligations to its client/supplier and to ensure that it can act in accordance with the clients/supplier or to act in the clients/suppliers best interests.
All Personal Information will be held securely and whenever Ideal Toy commissions other organisations to provide support services, Ideal Toy will bind its service providers to its privacy policies as far as they may be required to have access to their customers' and service providers’ Personal Information and to perform such service.
